about the artist
Born and raised in the south Texas coastal region, my inspiration is deeply rooted in my experiences with farm, coastal and ranch life, which have shaped my growth as both an artist and as a small business owner. My ultimate goal is to create work that inspires, comforts, and captivates through wildlife, religious and floral design.
Since founding MonaLeafa Designs in 2018, I have embraced endless creative possibilities, particularly in floral design, as reflected in commissioned work. My artistic journey spans various mediums, including colored pencil, charcoal, acrylic paints, and shadow-boxed floral art incorporating natural elements.
Over the years, I have been dedicated to giving back to communities and families in need by donating my time and artwork. I’ve also continued to host paint classes for churches and non-profit organizations to assist in fundraising, aside from my work as a business consultant and entrepreneur.
Nonetheless, true impact ALWAYS happened in the smaller moments. What began as a passion has grown through God’s precession, word of mouth, and the impact of everlasting encouragement from family and friends.
